Sprint - Chat
Art Direction • Web Design (UX/UI)
During my time at Sprint I was asked to redesign the Chat page at Sprint.com. I worked closely with a copywriter and a developer so the project remained in sync. Additionally I provided web and mobile mockups.
The page encourages current and prospective customers to chat with an expert for instant answers.
I chose to add a picture of a person so it makes the user feel like we are actually connecting with them, and not just using a product.
Then I added the CTA above the fold since it’s the action and the most important element of the page to immediately grab the user’s attention.
Next I broke up the information at the bottom using cards so it balances the interface aesthetics with good usability and added icons so it makes the page more visually attractive.
Later I learned there would be a slight delay for the user to send the message due to network traffic so I created a load spinner animation that reduces the user’s perception of waiting time followed by a green checkmark that indicate completion.
